Certified Nursing Aides have the same personal training as the In-Home aide does, so they can assist clients with many of the same tasks that home health aides do, such as eating and hygiene care. In addition to providing direct care, they can also help clients switch positions in bed for comfort and assist them from their wheelchairs to their beds and vice versa.With this medical training, CNAs will monitor patients’ health, take vitals, track their symptoms, and can speak with clients about health concerns. Furthermore, they will report their findings to their supervising nurse.

A Personal Care Assistant provide In-Home Aide services that help individuals who have functional, physical or mental impairments accomplish their daily activities. There are times a loved one has had a stroke, surgery or extensive treatment for kidney, heart or respiratory conditions, they may still require rehabilitation at a skilled nursing community following their release from the hospital. Fortunately sometimes they are released to go to their homes with specialized care provided. As a Supervisor, the Registered Nurse is responsible for monitor the care and services given. To make sure they are according to the NC State guidelines and exhibit the quality of the Journey way. Through 1 week, quarterly and 6 month evaluations, the RN Supervisor monitors the Aide while in the client's home making sure that all of the client's needs and questions are met.
